Omicho Market, Kanazawa

Whenever we visit a new city we always find time to explore its local markets. It's always an incredible sight and makes me excited to think what I might discover next. Market experiences are unbeatable for there is so much to explore, learn, see and eat. Imagine all quality produce under one roof. It's going to be hard to choose where to focus your attention to.

If you are a seafood lover, you are definitely heading in the right direction. Kanazawa is located near the coast of the Sea of Japan hence its seafood is one of the best in Japan and what better place to try fresh seafood in Kanazawa than Omicho Market? It has been Kanazawa's largest fresh food market since the middle of the 18th century. If you want choice, quality and freshness this is the best place to be! You won't be disappointed.

Walked past some ornamental cabbages and kales on our way to the market.

Winter is the best season to enjoy it.

Focus on those beautiful eggs and the meat is so tender.
