The Aristocrat Restaurant, Malate, Manila

 Calamansi Juice

Traditional Filipino food is relatively simple and easy to prepare and cook.
Its ingredients are humble and inexpensive and no special utensils are needed.
For those wanting to visit the country and want to try some authentic Filipino food,
I highly recommend you try The Aristocrat Restaurant.
For the past 75 years this restaurant has been serving delicious Filipino food with consistency.
Below are just some of the all-time Filipino food favourites.

This finger lickin' good Chicken Barbecue is a must try!
Specially marinated chicken grilled on a skewer.
Served with our signature Java rice, Java sauce, and atchara.

Mesa Filipino Moderne, Timog, Quezon City

Filipino cuisine is one of those cuisines we don't get to see a lot of in Sydney. Oh, how I miss the food! My trips back to Manila wouldn't be complete without trying some authentic Filipino food.

"Mesa" translates from Tagalog to English as table.

Pomelo Salad was a bit bland.

Tinapa Roll on Lettuce

 Baked Scallops with Garlic Butter

 Pinakbet with Bangus Belly

 Baby Squid in Olive Oil

 Crispy Boneless Tilapia

 Pork Sisig

 Seafood Sinigang
They have the usual fare, nothing out of the ordinary although I must say I liked how the Tilapia was cooked. Pomelo salad was a let down.
