Golden Burma, Toongabbie

Tucked away behind a public school in Toongabbie is this hidden gem of a restaurant.
My Burmese-Australian friend knows I love Burmese food
and recommended that I try this place.

While there is nothing fancy about its exterior nor interior,
but the food is very delicious, authentic and inexpensive.
I promise you won't be disappointed.

Tea Leaf Salad (Lap Pat Thut)
This national dish of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma)
has an eclectic mix of flavors and textures
that is crunchy, spicy, tangy, savoury and uniquely Burmese.
Truly delicious!

Fried Long Melon (Boo Thi Kyaw)
This you have got to try, really crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Just be careful when you take a bite, can be very hot.

Fried Prawn with Tamarind Sauce

Goat Meat Curry and Burmese Cat Fish Curry
Their cat fish curry is full of delicious spicy flavours. Everyone agrees!

Golden Burma Chilli Fish

Domino Milk Shake

Falooda
This basic faluda with rose syrup has always been one of my favourite desserts.
If only I could have this everyday.
