Issaya Siamese Club, Bangkok

This treasure of a restaurant tucked away in a small street near Rama IV road may take a while to find unless you have GPS. (Having GPS service when out of the country is essential for us and proven to be helpful and convenient esp when drivers are not familiar with the way.)

Issaya Siamese Club is housed in a beautiful 100 year old mansion surrounded by lush tropical gardens. It is the flagship home of Thailand’s best-known celebrity chef, Ian Kittichai.

Chosen as one of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants for 2 consecutive years, it is certainly one of the finest Thai restaurants I've ever been. I just wasn't able to take some decent photos with my camera because the dining room was a bit dark (Pricey meal to eat in the dark. hehe) but nonetheless the dishes were exciting and full of flavour albeit a bit spicy but you can always request to tone it down a bit and they were all beautifully presented. I
love the food here so much! Now I understand why this place was packed.

Would be great to have this everyday.
