Yebisu Izakaya, Sydney

My love affair with all things Japanese continues to grow.
It has only been two months since I came back from my holidays in Tokyo
and one of the first things I miss dearly is the food.
So we decided to try this funky-looking Japanese restaurant with touch screen ordering system that is conveniently located at the heart of Sydney CBD. There's plenty of dishes to choose from but once the order is made it cannot be cancelled.Turns out it was an excellent choice to have your Japanese food cravings satisfied.

2016 Chinese New Year Celebrations in Sydney and Lunch at Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Haymarket.

It's that time of the year again when the streets of Sydney is once more filled with colourful and bright lanterns,
red decorations, sounds of beating drums and lion dancers.
This year, 12 giant lanterns representing the Chinese zodiac signs will illuminate Sydney's most iconic locations. Most of them will be on display from 10-14 February 2016.
Now let's start our quest and find your zodiac lantern!

The lion bowed 3 times as a symbol of respect.

The name Three Lanes Seven Alley, literally Sanfang-Qixiang was derived from an ancient Chinese district in Fuzhou, Fujian province. Covering an area of 40 hectares, this street district with a cluster of ancient residential buildings is the largest well-preserved historical heritage site in China.
The houses were built by wealthy people during the Ming and Qing dynasties
and has also been home to many famous people.
You don't get to see a  lot of restaurants serving Fujian food in Sydney
so upon seeing this restaurant, I can't help but miss food from home.
Now I can't wait to have a plate of stinky tofu all for myself!

Stinky Tofu with Fermented Chilli Bean Paste.
If you are unsure, just try the tofu without dipping it into the sauce.
It's not as bad as it sounds.

Aqua S Ice Cream Parlour, Sydney CBD

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
Would you be willing to queue thirty minutes for an $8 ice cream
topped with caramel popcorn, toasted marshmallow, white fairy floss,
chocolate cone and popping candy?  Let me tell you, despite the long waiting line,
their ice cream is well worth the wait.

New flavours are being introduced every two weeks.

Bright and colourful Sea Salt and Mandarin flavours.
They both tasted so good with each other,
I felt like having a heavenly experience!
