Do Dee Paidang Thai Noodle Bar, Bondi

What a pleasant surprise to find this gem tucked in Bondi Junction's food court.
Authentic Thai street food joint in Bondi. Ohhh what a delight!
This immediately brought back wonderful memories of our trips to Thailand many years ago.

So we all went in for dessert because we had just finished eating a beautiful lunch at Bo Larn.
We tried the classic Thai dessert called Tab Tim Krob which is an all time favourite of mine.
The flavours are spot on and each bite reminded me so much of Thailand. Now I'm feeling nostalgic.
This colourful and exotic dessert is typically made of coconut milk, water chestnuts, jackfruit and tapioca,
but today we added a medley of sweet potatoes, green flour noodles and prunes to make it a bit special.

Chum Tang, Chatswood

One word: Delicious. Located at the podium of Chatswood interchange Chum Tang, which means "station interchange" serves classic regional Thai cuisine with a twist. The dishes are exotic and delicious and flavours intensely rich and powerful, just the way I like it.

Lao Village Restaurant, Fairfield

This restaurant has been around for thirty long years and still going strong.
The place can get a little bit noisy though but I couldn't care less as the food is amazingly good.
Lao cuisine is not the same as Thai cuisine, as many may think. Although there are many influences coming from the neighbouring countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, China and even France.
The staple food of Lao is the steamed sticky or glutinous rice (klao niaw) eaten at every meal.
Ideally, you roll them into small balls, dip into sauce and eat with your fingers.
We didn't order it this time because we wanted to give the Crunchy Fried Rice a go.
Nothing fancy about the dishes here but they look authentic and tasted simply delicious!

Classic Thai Restaurant (Mittagong) + Sunnataram Forest Monastery (Bundanoon)

                                                            Thai Dimsim (Khanom Jeep)

Having visited Thailand many times, Thai food has become comfort food for me.
I always come to this restaurant whenever I visit the Southern Highlands
and I've grown to love this place.
The owner is always so accommodating who really take care
to make sure we enjoyed our meal.

 Thai cuisine is legendary.
You won't go wrong with Thai food, no matter where you are.

"Aroi mak!"

So fragrant and flavourful Thai Coconut Rice (Kao Ka Ti)

Thai Panang Curry

Stir-fry Chicken in Satay Sauce (Pra Bam Long Sorn)

(Nam Tok Neau) Thai Beef Salad

Who would have thought that there is a Thai forest Buddhist monastery
tucked away in the Southern Highlands.
Every Sunday (11am to 2pm), visitors are welcome to enjoy the beautiful views
and art works around the monastery, participate in offering vegetarian food to monks,
meditate or listen to Dhamma talk.
The lovely and peaceful atmosphere is just priceless.
It's definitely well worth a visit if you are in Bundanoon.

Let go of stress, worry and depression.
Learn and apply Buddhist teachings to add inner peace into your daily life.

A perfect escape from city life.

Senyai, CBD Sydney

You don't have to live in Thailand to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. Sydney has an overload of Thai restaurants and possibly the best Thai food outside of Thailand.

I got excited when I heard a brand new Thai restaurant has opened in the CBD at Regent Place. I have to try it!

Can't wait to try some of the new dishes on the menu.
